COVID-19 & BUSINESS SUPPORT
We are all in this together
BUSINESS AS UNUSUAL
By Jove! Who could have foreseen that a wet market in Wuhan would impact workers of Malton, North Yorkshire and the rest of the World in such a perplexing way?
Our production hub remains open as usual. Whilst some confused soles have been stockpiling toilet rolls, we decided to replenish our stocks of fabric frames and secure our paper stocks and consumables to ensure continuity of supply.
We are following all advice issued by HM Government and Public Health England. We advise you to do the same and look out for each other.
ADAPT & OVERCOME
Being in business is often about adapting to adversity. Coping with the unexpected. Responding to change.
Bold entrepreneurs do not lack spirit or ingenuity. There will be disruption of course. But when we pull together, we’ve shown we can rise to the challenge.
Every person and every business across the country has a role to play. It’s business as unusual. But we need to keep the wheels of commerce in motion and together we’ll get through this.
Below are some ideas to help you navigate these unusual times.
Improve your online presence
More than ever, people will be sat in their pants, searching for stuff online. Videos to watch, things to read, new skills to learn, ideas to do, stuff to make, products to buy. And right now, they’re looking for you. Or at least, people like you. Who will they find?
Don’t self-isolate your website. Get found. Use search engine optimisation to climb ranks.
Sell your wares online
One thing is certain, we’re all about to spend a lot more time online. No wonder online shopping is growing so fast. Even if you don’t trade in toilet roll, are you getting your share of online sales? Keep the trade routes open to more customers with an eCommerce site. It might cost less than you expect.
Situations change rapidly. You might need to update your website quickly. All our sites come with a Content Management System (or “CMS”) built-in. Easily edit information yourself, without needing a degree in computer programming.
Send direct mail to their home
If customers aren’t coming in, go get them. One way is to land on their doormat. Good morning!
With more people working from home, residential leaflet drops make even more sense. Or post folded leaflets, without even needing an envelope.
Captivate your captive audience to reinvigorate this incredibly effective direct response marketing.
Clearly display your information
Clarity is sanity. Keep everyone informed by publishing key messages on posters. Offer advice and reassurance internally, or communicate to the outside world.
Use large format posters to tell people you’re open for business, have temporarily relocated or changed opening hours.
Let customers know how to get in touch. Advertise your phone number, social media accounts and web address.
Navigate every visitor safely
Need to change access to your premises? Maybe your team are working from home. Or you have new check-in rules.
Use wayfinding soft signage. Help people understand what to do and where to go.
Totems are a quick and easy way to introduce navigation signage to your premises. Print one message on the front, and another on the reverse to double the impact.
Brand your boxes
On yer bike! Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants are moving swiftly to offer home delivery. Generic packaging can be ordered quickly.
Don’t allow your carton to be inconspicuous. Adorn bland boxes with branded stickers. Include a thank-you note, reorder offer or simply embellish with your logo.
Choose from a range of popular sizes. They come printed on sheets and kiss-cut so are easy to peel.
Hello, is it me you’re looking for?
We are still here, even though we are all not there
LET’S GET TOGETHER, VIRTUALLY
We might all have to live with travel restrictions, quarantine or solitary confinement. Whatever happens, we’re always happy to meet you online with a video chat or speak with you over the phone and on email.
The majority of the Nettl network are isolating and working from home, with Nettl of Malton included.
WE’RE HERE FOR YOU, EVEN IF WE’RE NOT THERE!
Production is still in operation, following strict guidelines and procedures through redesigned shift patterns.
Stay safe. Stay at home. We will get through this together, Old Bean.
